Although inspired at the time I have pretty horrible memories of developing and putting up my first web presence back in 2000. Given the amount of knowledge and skills connected to the web you might imagine that someone would have founded a reputable web site where beginners could visit to be availed of all of the basics know how to create a successful web site. Setting up your first web site can be a real challenge if you are unsure of what you need to know.
Topics like understanding the importance of back links and keywords, how they influence Google page rankings and page authority, and the connection between these and visitor volumes are difficult to grasp and continuously poorly presented by a large contingent of “experts” on the web. I keep meeting people who want to develop a business or set up a site on the net so I am going to do something about it.
After years and years of toiling on the net, searching for, learning and practising ways of doing things to establish successful web presences by attracting large amounts of traffic. I suddenly discovered I wanted to teach.
I have been thinking about this for about a year now and whenever I have had some available time I have been producing my educational material. Just about everybody who is starting out or already developing a web site wants a short cut, I’m no different and therefore whenever I have found high quality content and tools that work I am going to point my students at these rather than try and reinvent the wheel.
Everything I have tried and tested that has delivered good or excellent results will be included in my training material and where there are gaps I have filled them in. On my journey I have developed some techniques, tools and methods of my own that I consistently use which I will be including in the education.
